CERTIFICATE in TEACHING PROFESSION

   Each college or university has their own course title, this (Certificate in Teaching Profession) is what we used in The Philippine Women's University.

What is CTP or Certificate in Teaching Profession?

   It is a course being offer to anyone who is a graduate of non-education degree who wants to pursue a career in education so that they would be able qualify to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and teach.

 As stated in the Republic Act No. 9293 Sec. 15 No. 3 one would be qualify to take the LET:

For teachers in the secondary grades, bachelor's degree in education or its equivalent with a major and minor, or a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences with at least eighteen (18) units in professional education;

Different colleges and universities have their own curriculum and term for this course, but all you have to do is obtain 18 units of professional education then you can take the LET.
