Saudi National Day
Last September 23rd I've experienced my first celebration of Saudi National Day. A National Holiday celebrated in the entire Kingdom to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz in 1932.
I wasn't able to partake in all the events except the "Raise the Saudi Flag" in the Kingdom Tower, Olaya. I first went because of the fireworks show, and I am glad that I went.
The entire ride from Malaz to Olaya took almost an hour, so that was a heck of a traffic, we walk from STC Olaya to Kingdom Tower. There was a lot of people,by the way no need to worry about your security there was an abundace of policemen ensuring the safety of everybody.

Raise the Saudi Flag started with the light show by showcasing a brief history of the Kingdom, it's past rulers and what had it become.
The show end up with firework display while still showing images of the King and the Crown Prince.
Overall the show lasted for 20 minutes, it started at 9:45PM and run upto 12 midnight. We left already after the first show since we have work the next day.
