My LET experience.

I mentioned before that I took 18 educational units in Philippine Women's University - Taft, Manila  right after taking the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination last June 2012. After almost a year of taking the units I delayed taking the LET, thinking that I am not ready and I don't have time to review.

May 15, 2014. I applied for the LET despite having a full time job, volunteering for civic works, and reviewing if I can (when I can). My experience in taking the LET is quite different than taking the NLE.

The LET is being taken for one day, NLE = 2 days.
The LET is further divided into two: (1) for elementary, and (2) for secondary.
I tooked the LET for Secondary Major in Biological Science.

Since my undergrad degree is Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), my major or specialization is Biological Science.

The LET for secondary is divided into three parts: (a) the General Education, (b) the Professional Education, and (c) the specialization. The LET was difficult, it became more difficult since I hardly had the time to review and understand every concepts. According to my fellow examinees the exam last August 2014, was even more difficult than previous examinations since the questions revolved around practical or situational.

Last part of the exam which is the specialization part, was even difficult since it requires mastery of the concepts in biological science. A fellow examinee resort in making a joke that the exam has been easy for me since some of the questions pertains about cell, little did they know that cell is not my favorite topic during my undergrad years.

Luckily, despite being bewildered by the questions I passed the exam.

To my fellow examinees who passed the LET, Congratulations!
and to those who didn't make it don't lose hope! Held your head up high and try again.
